The Fort Ramgarh: This Fort is 19 kms (approx) from Chandigarh. As per the history, It is 360 years old heritage. This was built by the Chandela Rajputs of Bundelkhand. This Fort is registered in the Limca book of records for having the huge wooden entrance door which is 37 ft in height. This fort is taken care by Kunwar Amitabh Singh. He stated that the architecture of this fort is inspired by Himachal Pradesh.

i.   The  Food served here is purely vegetarian. Pappad ki Subzi is one of their special delicacies (one should definitely try that).

  The  RamShehar Fort: This fort is 75kms from Chandigarh. This fort was constructed in the year 1540 AD dating back to 15th century by Raja Ramchander who is a great builder of the same dynasty, the village RamShehar is named after him. This Fort was earlier called Ramgar Fort but later renamed as a RamShehar heritage fort resort by the Himachal occupants.This fort is completed in 2-3 stages and is inspired by British, Mughal and Indian architecture. This fort is built on the height of 4000 ft hilltop which gives you the experience to have 360 degree panoramic views of Shivalik Hills beyond the Sirsa river.

1.  This fort is  built at the height of 4000 ft hilltop which gave  you the experience to have a 360 degree panorama view.

2. This fort serves Indian, Continental and Chinese food. In the month of April one can gave treat to your taste buds by having “Kachnar fool ki sbzi” which is served for 10 days as their special dish.

Note: “Kachnar fool ki sbzi”  is made up of special seasonal flowers which are yellow green in color.

The Nalagarh Fort: This fort is situated 40 kms away from Chandigarh. This fort is built by the Raja Bikram Chand in the year 1421 (almost 600 years old). This fort is taken care by the 29th generation heir of Raja Bikram Chand. The architecture of this fort is inspired by Mughal Era.

The Chail Palace: This palace is situated 112 kms away from Chandigarh located in the serene forest of Himachal Pradesh.This palace is built by Maharaja of Patiala Bhupinder Singh in the year 1891 and is one of the places to spend the weekend near Chandigarh. The shooting of Bollywood movies like “3 idiots” and Punjabi album have made this Palace a hot spot among tourists.

  1. Sidh Baba Ka Mandir- It is believed that a Saintly Person appeared before the Maharaja Bhupinder Singh in a dream and declared that this was the Place where he had this Temple Built.
  2. Cricket Ground: This ground is built in 1893, It stands 2444 m after leveling the top of the hill and is the highest Cricket pitch along with Polo ground in the world.
  3. Kufri: The Nature Park is a major attraction. A Short Trek leads to the Mahasu Peak with Breathtaking Views along with the enjoyable drive through forests and small villages.
  4. Sadhupul: This place is a good picnic spot between Kandaghat and Chail, you can also get a chance to cross bridge astride The Ashwani Stream. This place offers you to indulge in some fishing on the Giri River At Gaura, 29 Km Away and adventurous activities, dozen trek routes trails lead up to The Choor Peak And to Shimla.
  5. Solan: It is located only 45 kms from Chail Palace blessed with the pleasant climate all the year round. This Place is famous for many Temples like Shoolini Devi, Lord Shiva and on Rajgarh road the Buddhist Monastery may be visited.   1.  Mall Road: This Palace Hotel is an oasis within the city limits, a comfortable stroll from the main Mall Road which is the main shopping center of Shimla with restaurants. The Christ Church & St. Michael’s Cathedral, built in 1846-1857, and is the second oldest church of Northern India. The Church overlooks the ridge and is one of the landmarks of Shimla which is just off the Mall road.
  2. Prospect Hill:  This place is crowned by a temple dedicated to Kamna Devi, a 15-minutes walk from Boileauganj on the Shimla-Bilaspur road. The hill is situated at a height of 2,155m and offers a spectacular view of the area.
  3. Chadwick Falls: It is surrounded by thick forests, you can reach these falls by taking a 45-minutes (7-km) walk from Summer Hill Chowk, Shimla.
  4. Jakhoo Hill:  This Hill towers over Shimla at 2455m, filled with history and architectural charm, you can visit a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, you can also enjoy the most spectacular sunrises and sunset sights from this spot, especially during the monsoons. Another beautiful trail takes you to Sanjuali and between Holly Lodge and Sanjauli, the distance is about 3 km. Alternatively, you can have the hotel car take you back back from Sanjauli to Woodville.
