We all need a little bit of Motivation to do various things in life. Some need the motivation to study, whereas some need it to lose weight. Every person has his own reason to seek some motivation in order to achieve their own goals and get the desired results. But if incase you find it difficult to motivate yourself with some or the other reason, then take a deep breath, drink a glass of cold water and follow these simple steps. These steps will help you calm yourself down.

  1. The first step is to Close your Eyes. Try to relax. You need to focus on reaching your Goals.
  2. I will try something new today – Make up your mind about it.
  3. The best way to soothe your soul is Nature. Go to a park or a garden and take a small walk.
  4. People, including me, never make a to-do list. That’s a wrong thing. Seriously. When you have a list you know what to do and when you start doing accordingly then you will feel encouraged crossing off the items. Task done! Yayyy!!
  5. If you sleep less then what you actually need then it results in making you a little bit of demotivated. Try to get proper sleep.
  6. It happens during work etc that you start getting bored. It’s quite normal. Then you don’t feel like working anymore and here is where you need a cup of Coffee. Why? Because it gives you ‘wings’ and I’m not joking at all. It boosts your energy.
  7. Do you exercise daily? No? Start doing it from today itself. It really helps in making your mood and your life good.
  8. We fear taking the path to something new, some new place. Don’t we! Nobody is asking you to get the whole thing done right away. To start a new project or a business, it is well advised to take small steps and then gradually go further. This way it helps you understand the things more accurately and you get motivated when you see the results.
  9. Feeling low, bored or just exhausted? Rise and go take a cold shower.
  10. Reward yourself for achieving your goals. If you are working out to lose weight then you can set your goals and when you reach a particular goal then there is no harm in rewarding yourself. This way you motivate your own self.
  11. When we go to the gym, generally they play loud music. Why is this so? This is because music uplifts your mood and helps you do more. The energy in music does wonders for your mind and body.
  12. All of us ignore the tougher jobs. We know that it is important but still we run away from it or leave it for afterwards. Stop! Do this the first thing in the morning. Complete it. You will feel good and then you will be able to do rest of your work with ease and peaceful mind.
  13. One more bad habit that most of us have is that we don’t prepare things in advance. We know that the meeting is tomorrow and we have to wear good clothes, shoes etc and all the files, pen drive and so on are required, yet we do not plan it out a day earlier. If we do all this a day before then we will give some rest to our own minds.
  14. Sometimes we just do not want to do some work. At such times you need to literally push yourself in doing it. It’s needed so you have to do it, against your will too.
  15. Willpower – Too much important. Meditation helps in this.
  16. Read motivational quotations. Don’t just read, make it a habit of incorporating them in your life too.
  17. Every task you do should be done in a time frame. You must set a deadline for it. When you do so you know that it has to be done in this time period no matter what. It will increase your productivity and you get the work done before time too.
  18. I try to multitask. And that’s not correct. Avoid such a thing. Do one task at a time.
  19. If you are going to a gym or a music class and a friend of your’s is also interested in the same, then you should really join him. A partner will always boost your mood and also help you get things going in a better way. Both of you will be a source of motivation for each other.
  20. With time our room or office space gets cluttered. It is quite natural. Take some time to clean it up and arrange the things in a proper manner. This will eventually help you a great deal as a well organised space helps in doing more things with a happy mind. Who likes to work in a storeroom!
  21. We generally fear doing work which we have never done or something our boss has asked us to do and we have never done that earlier. Throw your fear away and start working on it. Be brave and work. You may seek help from fellow workers or your friends too. Help is everywhere, all you need is to ask and search at the right places.
  22. Eat good food. The food you enjoy eating. Don’t stuff yourself to the max or above. Eat fresh fruits instead of drinking juice. Nuts are great too. Mental health also relies upon a healthy body.
  23. Rest for a short while. Don’t work continuously the whole day. Your body and mind needs a break too.
  24. When you wake up the first thing you should do is to do what you enjoy the most. It can be anything. Just be happy.
  25. Share your goals and your thoughts on how you will achieve them with your partner or your best friend. It will give you a push and you will try even more to get it done for sure.
  26. Sometimes whatever things we do to motivate ourselves, we still don’t feel so. In such a scenario you need to fake it. Yes! Once you start doing so, one time will come when you will actually start enjoying the work. Act like you are motivated and it will become reality in time.
  27. People tend to close windows and pull heavy curtains. If your office or your house has trees and gardens around it then you should open the window and let the fresh air and light come in at least for some time in a day. Nothing is better than nature. Of Course if the surroundings are not polluted.
  28. For any work proper research is needed. Without it you will always feel the pressure upon your shoulders. So reasearch things. This is the first step in doing any work to be frank.
  29. If we encourage other people we know, they will encourage you back. It’s like give and take. Just like if you insult some, they insult you. Funny but true.
  30. The worst thing you can do for your own self is comparing yourself to others. Stop it right now. You will get discouraged when you see that someone else is doing better than you. You need to compete against nobody other than you.
  31. Don’t make big castles in the air. Know your limitations and work accordingly. If I know how to make a chair then how can I dream of making an aeroplane all by myself. Be realistic at all times and no day dreaming. Expect what’s real.
  32. Excitement is a must. Experiment new things and new ways of doing things.
  33. It is not necessary to excel in everything we do. We fail sometimes. But to drag the dead body of the failure throughout your life is nothing but being stupid. Pick yourself up and get going is the formula. Don’t let it affect your motivation.
  34. Read good books. Biographies of successful people will help in inspiring you a great deal.
  35. Just like books, you can view documentaries and stories of such inspiring people on YouTube.
  36. Long time back I used to put motivational posters around my workspace. But then I stopped. Now again I have done so. Trust me these help in building up your mood a lot and get things done.
  37. Dress smartly. When you look yourself in the mirror you will feel great and it will motivate you. Impress yourself and not others.
  38. Always remember the times when you did your work beautifully and excelled in it. This will always give you the push to work even more wonderfully and elegantly. Never forget your success period.
  39. Don’t forget to try. It’s better to fail than to think afterwards that you didn’t do it and live with the regret.
  40. I am the Best. Always tell yourself. Nobody knows you better than your own self.
  41. I had a large number of websites. I used to work on all of them. People used to know more because of all this. But I was never able to work properly and then started losing interest. Then what I did was leave a few of the websites altogether and didn’t even renew them. At first I felt too bad about it, afterall I have worked upon them for so long. But I did the correct thing. Don’t overdo anything and don’t try to do everything. Drop the projects you are not entirely committed to and focus on the ones which you really want to do.
  42. Nothing worthwhile is easy. Educate yourself to this. You will always be happy.
  43. You have to create your dreams and then you have to achieve them. Yourself. On your own. Don’t forget.
  44. Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years. Write it down and paste it somewhere you can see while you work.
  45. Don’t forget the alarm clock. It helps you wake up from sleep.
  46. Do something you enjoy doing. Any hobby, game or anything. It will help uplift your mood and it will also help you get more excited about life in general.
  47. Always be happy. Keep good company of people who are happy.
